78. Professional Sprayers

MMANIAYE, GHANA, 2008. The government hires people to spray the cocoa groves, suppressing diseases that would damage the country’s exports. Farmers are not forced to accept spraying, which is free of charge, but to do so is to risk a significant reduction in yield.
