226. Prison

ELMINA, GHANA, 2014. Prison cell. Slaves were kept for a few months, squashed together with no sanitary facilities. If they died, they were thrown over the castle parapets. Some were "hired" as spies to listen to the conversations so that troublemakers could be identified.
