170. New Fangled Storage

EBEKAWOPA, GHANA, 2009. A great service to West African farmers would be the distribution of plastic bags that cost about $2.50 each. They hold about 100 lbs of product and are air-impervious. Storage in these bags obviates the need for insecticides as the interior becomes anaerobic and kills all insect larvae and eggs. Also, fatty acids don't oxidize.
