In August, 2005, $1,000 was donated to ONG Kedesch with the express stipulation that the money go to help fund the education of children of cocoa farmers. See the Tours section for a description of this non-governmental organization. The following letter from the president of the NGO details how the money was spent: for learning kits for students and teachers, for weaving materials, leather for the shoe factory, and a digital camera to document donations from the foundation.
